Roots Program
Build healthier habits with the support of a community. The Roots Program brings people together to prevent and address chronic health conditions through food, movement, and connection. Using the Full Plate Living curriculum, you’ll discover the power of fiber-rich foods while building practical, sustainable changes that support your health for the long term.
Remission of Insulin Resistance and Type 2 Diabetes
Type 2 diabetes doesn’t always have to be a lifelong, progressive condition. Intensive lifestyle changes can dramatically improve blood sugar, reduce medication needs, and, for some people, help achieve remission.
This program focuses on improving insulin sensitivity through food, movement, restorative sleep, stress resilience, and social connection. It is designed for people with prediabetes or type 2 diabetes, as well as people with type 1 diabetes who want to improve insulin sensitivity, glucose management, and overall health.

The Gut-Health Connection
Dr. Norris is leading her second class the Las Cruces Natural Grocers on “The Gut-Health Connection”.
Could the microbes in our gut connect many of today’s chronic conditions? About 70% of the immune system resides in the gut, making it a key driver of inflammation and overall health. When the gut microbiome becomes imbalanced—known as dysbiosis—it can lead to persistent, low-grade inflammation. In this seminar, we’ll explore foods that support a healthy microbiome and the substances we consume that can disrupt it.
Last but certainly not least, the class is complimentary! So, bring as many friends and family as you would like. Sometimes it takes an unacquainted face to show friends and family that healthier habits are accessible.
